What is your name, or public persona, and what are your preferred pronouns? My name is 2AM Ricky, my pronouns are he/him.
What are you best known for? I’m a recording artist and songwriter who utilizes my platform to uplift marginally perceived communities and trans-awareness while bridging the intersection of LGBTQ+ advocacy and entertainment. As the first Black trans man to top any recording chart, I have a passion for developing queer and female talent and providing harm reduction strategies to curate safe spaces for LGBTQ+ creatives. I've worked on several projects with talents like CeCe Peniston, Tyler Perry Studios, and many more.
Describe your personality in three words? Innovative. Assertive. Conscientious.
What is your favorite sextech, or pleasure product? My favorite sextech product would be the VDOM! It’s an electronic prosthetic device that you can control via app and is Black female-owned. I love the VDOM because it provides both sexual pleasure and helps combat body dysmorphia often felt by trans and nonbinary folks. They also provide comfortable underwear that makes packing and pleasure on the go super easy!
Who would you enjoy being stranded on a deserted island with? If I were stranded on a deserted island, I would definitely want to be stranded with Janelle Monae. I feel like her energy is so magnetic that even in a time of crisis, we would have a blast! Also, between the two of us, we would for sure find a way to entertain ourselves and create magic while waiting to be rescued.
What is one thing you learned / or unlearned about sex, that changed the game for you? Your sexual preferences, desires, and “kinks” can evolve over time and may differ with each partner. It’s important to allow yourself the opportunity to explore new ways of pleasure with both you and your significant other. Also, SEX HAS NO SHAME! Don’t allow society or others to dictate the type of sexual experiences that you have. As long as there's open communication between you two and an understanding of boundaries, you're free to explore what feels good to you. Sex has no limits!
What is your favorite movie or show to “Netflix + Chill” to? Honestly, I have two movies that I like to Netflix + Chill to, and the one that I pick is determined by the mood that I want to set. My all time favorite movie is “The Wood” - it’s a classic with laugh, nostalgia, and romance. It’s a good flick to throw on when you want to snuggle up and Netflix + Chill with a dab of foreplay. My second favorite movie to throw on is “Sausage Party”, because it’s raunchy, sexual, and hilarious at the same time.

When I’m looking for a smooth and sultry vibe, I instantly play my single “Cream”. It’s sexy, seductive, and perfect for a late-night ride or any bedroom playlist. “Cream” was written as an ode to the beauty and sensuality found within Black queer love and created by a fully queer team (shoutout to PZY and Ava!). It's one of my favorite tracks on my album and at the top of the queue anytime I'm looking for songs that "set the mood" while on the road.
Dance & Desire: What is your favorite song to dance to, whether for a private performance or heating up the dance floor?
I love afrobeat and reggaeton, especially when I’m ready to let loose and bust a move! I grew up in the house party and kickback era, with Wayne Wonder’s “No Letting Go” and Gyptian’s “Hold Yuh” as my go-to songs to heat up the dance floor with somebody’s daughter. Now, the same musical influences keep me in the groove, with Tyla’s “Water” being my current fave. You can’t resist being hypnotized by the beat and bass.
Fuck 2 This: What is your favorite sexy song to fuck to?
When I’m looking for a more intimate and sensual sexual experience, I turn on Paloma Ford “W.E.T”. It’s both smooth and provocative, and the bass knocks from the beat will have you knocking headboards! When I’m looking to fuck, my favorite song to play is Crown “At the Party”. It gives a grown and sexy vibe that's stimulating and adds to the red-light-special feels.

When it comes to pillow talk, I would have to choose a classic to create the perfect vibe - “I Wanna Know” by Joe. I grew up on this kind of music, the type of R&B that my parents would call “baby making music”. This song sets the mood for post-climax conversations, cuddles, and maybe even another round!

If I hosted a seductive dinner party with my friends, I would choose “Late or Early” by Naomig to set the mood. It’s the perfect balance of a sexy and feel good record. It’s the type of song where you can sip your wine (or maybe a smooth whiskey) and get lost in the vibe.
