Throughout history, subversive messaging has been a powerful tool in resisting oppressive systems and defending individual freedoms. While authoritarian forces may control the state, non-compliance—despite its risks—remains a vital strategy for protecting hard-won rights in an increasingly repressive world.
Join us for a timely and much-needed conversation featuring powerhouse voices in social justice and human rights: Ifeoma Ike, Mandy Salley, and Ricci Levy. Guided by Reuben and Sherri Johnson (the FlyDuo), these changemakers will explore the power of defying traditional norms to advocate for inclusive justice, champion personal liberation, and foster sexual freedom.
Ifeoma, founder of Pink Cornrows and author of The Equity Mindset, will share her expertise in integrating cultural perspectives into equity-driven policies. Mandy and Ricci, both leaders at the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, bring decades of experience in defending sexual freedom and human rights. Together, they will draw on their extensive backgrounds in policy, activism, and social justice to demonstrate how we, individually and collectively, have the power to challenge entrenched systems and inspire transformative change.

Ifeoma Ike (she/her) is an award-winning strategist bridging law, policy, narratives, and social innovation. As founder of Pink Cornrows, a social impact and research firm, and bestselling author of The Equity Mindset, Ifeoma designs equity-driven approaches across many industries and environments by weaving in the cultural genius of Black, femme, disabled and indigenous communities. She is the co-host of "From Chains to Links" podcast, which centers Black thought, innovation and the entrepreneurial journey. She is the visionary of the annual Black Policy Lab, a mental health advocate and a policy and social advisor to those committed to creating safety for all Black bodies.
Mandy Salley (she/her) is the Chief Operating Officer of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, a nonpartisan, nonprofit human rights organization dedicated to defending the autonomy of all individuals in the areas of free speech, privacy, and sexual freedom. In this role, she oversees the foundation’s programmatic and policy work.
Ricci Levy (she/her) has been engaged in sexual freedom activism for several decades. In 2003, she helped found the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, a nonpartisan, nonprofit human rights organization dedicated to defending the personal autonomy of all individuals. As the Executive Director, then President and CEO of the Foundation, Ricci has led Woodhull for more than twenty years. Ricci has traveled around the country offering testimony and speaking at conferences, often presenting contentious issues in a way that allows for collaborative dialog to build bridges and foster alliances. Whether focused on censorship, the decriminalization of sex work, the shackling of incarcerated women in labor, or the right to family and reproductive justice, you can find Ricci at the forefront, bringing human rights to the conversation.
